it's Friday night...do you know where your ovaries are?
Ok, well its not Friday night anymore. Had my ovarian transposition last night and all went well. I almost chickened out at the last minute, but decided that giving myself a chance of future fertility was way more important than any doubts I had about the surgery.I went in at 3pm and apparantly got out at 6:30, but of course I don't remember much. I was pretty chirpy right after the surgery and was chatting away to all the nurses in the recovery room, so my doctor said I could go home that night. But that chirpiness didn't last and soon I zonked right out on painkillers and decided to stay the night. It wasn't much of a sleep, since my blood pressure and temperature was checked what seemed like every 10 minutes. But now I'm home and am walking around like a 90 year old. I'm pretty sore, but it's nothing that a little Tylenol 3 can't fix.
Yep, the surgery was a success. She moved both ovaries. Apparantly one ovary had some weird and funky fibroids on it, but they had a pathologist on hand, and thank god it wasn't more cancer.
So that's that out of the way.
Yesterday morning I had my telephone interview for my UK visa. She said that they would probably make their decision within 5 working days. I'm really due for some fantastic news, so I'm hoping this will be it.

I'm so happy to hear the surgery went well (and that the weird ovary stuff turned out to be innocuous! hurray for having a pathologist around!). Take care of yourself and I hope you get good news about the visa soon!
that christopher character sounds like a catch!
