my sleepy sunday town

Since September, Sundays have meant working on assignments, or being sad, or being bored. Now that I'm back in London, Sundays are once again, my favourite day of the week. We started off the day at the Clapham farmer's market with a sausage sandwhich. Christopher and I then took the 519 bus into town (if you're ever in London, don't bother paying the 20 pounds for a bus tour - just hop on the top deck of the 519 and you'll get a good tour of the city), and stopped off at the Imperial War Museum. We spent about 45 minutes there until I got bored. I have the attention span of a pea. One of the great things about London is that almost all museums are free, so I can always go back and look around some more. Outside the museum there was an excitable standard poodle, so I pranced around with him for a bit. Then we ate ice cream because there's a heat wave and it's really hot. We hopped back on the 519, which went past Westminster, Whitehall, and big protest by the Lebanese community. We walked down Pall Mall to greet the queen at Buckingham Palace, had a walk through Knightsbridge and Hyde Park, and finished the day off with pizza and beer back in Clapham. Kylie's first interview since her cancer diagnosis was on tv last night, and I could really relate with alot of the things she was saying. I ran for Kylie last October in the Run for the Cure, and I'm glad to see that she's doing well and looking really hot with that super short hair!

There. I apologize if I'm writing like a little kid "and then we did this, and then we went there, and then, and then, and then...", but it was a really good day.

Today I'm applying for jobs and doing laundry. And then I'll break for lunch in the park, and then I'll read the paper and drink coffee, and then I'll meet Christopher for dinner, and then, and then, and then....

What about that Kylie eh? I remember thinking she was really tacky and girlie when I was 15 and thought I knew stuff, only to fall in love with her 10 years later when she teamed up with Nick Cave.

And I agree, that short haircut really works...

I just chopped my hair off again...I think I don't like it (even though it's basically the same as it was a couple of years ago) and turqoise. Glad to hear you're having a good time. Early birthday wishes to both you and Christopher, I'm heading to Toronto tomorrow and don't know how much time I'll have for anything. Ugh.
