forked and prodded
Today was my very first follow-up appointment and I have some big news - I weigh 122 lbs (55 kilos)!!! I have gained 12 pounds (5 kilos) since my treatment ended only 6 weeks ago, thanks to a steady diet of cider and late-night chicken burgers.Okay, enough horsing around, you say? The real big news is that I have made a "100% improvement", and that my cervix is small, soft, pink and cute (she didn't actually say 'cute', but I know that's what she meant). Obviously, this was music to my ears!!! I was incredibly nervous all day today and am so HAPPY to hear that the cancer is gone and *hopefully* will never, ever, ever come back. My next appointment is November 8, at which time they will also do a CT scan. I hate CTs because when they inject the dye into your veins, it feels like you're wee-ing your pants. That's enough about today. Now I can actually relax and enjoy being in Toronto for a few more days.
I woke up this morning only to look out the front window and discover that our front lawn had been forked, with a few plastic knives and spoons thrown in for good measure.

Congrats on the weight gain! :-) I know how you feel about the CT Scans. It feels EXACTLY like you are peeing your pants. lolol At my first one I thought they were trying to cook me or something. I felt like a rotisserie chicken. ;)
I have never heard of the yard forking thing. Why would someone do that? It makes no sense to me. lolol
Yay!!! Woooohoooo!!!! I'm so happy for you! :D
I've never had a CT scan, but that sounds like it would be unerving...hope I never need one!
We just got yours and Christopher's card for Simone today - she's already getting international mail! (and can I say, wow that was fast!) - you're welcome to come babysit or just sit, anytime~we'd love to see you. And tell Christopher we'll get her to look him up when she turns 19, hehehehe.

I wish I could have seen you while you were here, but we never managed to catch each other on the phone :( Give Christopher a big hug for me, though, and keep the emails and post cards coming! :) I miss you, girl!
